- To capture Jack & Jill Children’s Foundations families experiencing the excitement of this magical time for both children and adults alike on their Family Day at Santa’s Magical Trail;
- Join Santa’s elves on a wonderful journey through Santa’s Magical Trail – Kildare’s longest running, award-winning Santa experience and CELEBRATING ITS 10TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY in 2018 - starting from the Christmas Pavilion and follow a special Trail Map to discover Elf Control, Mrs Claus’s Parlour, Santa’s Kitchen, Elves Bedroom, Rudolph’s Den, Santa’s Magical Carriage, Santa’s Farm, Rudolph’s Den, The North Pole Zone, Santa’s Log Cabin & Santa’s Special Guest this year to celebrate the 10 Years Birthday is Willy Wonka in his Chocolate Room… with The Magical Sleep Over option also available on just 2 nights now including family dinner served by the elves and evening entertainment.
- A donation will be made by the hotel to the Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation as the nominated children’s charity for Santa’s Magical Trail plus all proceeds from a charity raffle running throughout the event.
- To date Santa’s Magical Trail has raised €95,000 for children’s charities and local community projects. The main charity this year is the Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation

The children under Jack & Jill’s wing may not walk or talk or write long lists to Santa, but we know that they do better at home, warm and cosy with their family and in familiar surroundings. Jack & Jill operates 365 days a year, with no waiting list or means testing and the gift of time and support that we give to families in Kildare and all over the country is even more important at this time of the year. On behalf of the 340 children and their families under our wing, I would like to say a heartfelt thanks to everyone for putting the magic into this trail and for including Jack & Jill in the fun and the fundraising.”
The Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation provides direct funding, to families of children with severe neurodevelopmental delay up to the age of 5, enabling them to purchase home respite care. It also provides end of life care to all children up to the age of 5 years. These are children who as a result of their condition require intensive home nursing care. The Foundation gives these families THE GIFT OF TIME, time to do the things that we so often take for granted like Christmas shopping, taking their other children to the park, a night’s sleep etc. Each year we have to raise €3.5 million to provide our services and we rely so heavily on the generosity of the public and fundraising initiatives like Santa’s Magical Trail to keep going.
